My Story

I believe that media should inspire viewers—calling them to action or sparking curiosity—and in pursuit of that ideal, I completed a bachelor’s degree at UNC – Chapel Hill’s Hussman School of Journalism and Media and continue to pursue work using the skills I learned therein, including: reporting, graphic design, science communication, web design and video production.
From a documentary set among the strip-mined peaks of Eastern Kentucky to worksheets for young citizen scientists, my experiences have led me to proficiency in most facets of digital design. I am comfortable with the Adobe Suite, Canva and host of other software. I’ve led workshops on the basics of video production, and I have assisted in creating branding for programs like ecoEXPLORE.
At the moment, I am traveling and volunteering abroad. However, I’m offering my skills in visual communication for freelance projects, such as editing videos, creating graphics for social media or print campaigns, redesigning or launching a website, or creating new branding in the form of motion graphics, style guides or logos.
